In detail
A personal aromatherapy inhaler in the plainest sense: an anodized aluminum barrel, a threaded cap, and inside it a cotton wick cartridge already soaked with an essential-oil blend. There is no battery, no heating element, no button and nothing to charge. You uncap it, hold it a little below one nostril, and breathe in through the nose. The scent is carried on the air you are already moving.
Because the cartridge is sealed inside the barrel and the cap seals over it, the oil blend keeps its character for months in a pocket or a bag, where an open bottle would have faded or spilled. Each stick arrives with three cartridges: one loaded and two sealed in individual sleeves. Swapping one takes about ten seconds — unscrew the base, lift the old wick out by its tab, drop the new one in.
Used through the day it may help make dry, stale or heavily air-conditioned air more pleasant to breathe, and many people simply like having a familiar scent within reach on a long flight or a long afternoon. Morning, before you leave
Uncap it, hold the open end about half an inch below one nostril, and breathe in slowly through the nose two or three times. Cap it and drop it in a pocket. The cap is what keeps the scent in, so screw it down.
Through the working day
Use it whenever the air around you feels stale or dry — after an hour in a closed meeting room, halfway through a long drive, on a plane once the cabin air dries out. There is no limit to observe and no schedule to keep.
Evening
Many people keep a second stick loaded with Lavender & Chamomile on a bedside table and use it as part of settling down, in much the way one might use a warm drink.
Every four to six weeks
When the scent has faded, change the cartridge: unscrew the base, lift the old wick out by its tab, drop a new one in, screw the base back on. The used wick goes in household waste.
